Pressed Metal Ceiling for a Library
If you want to add a WOW factor to your new build or renovation a pressed metal ceiling is the way to go.
Jack Gibson from NEVERSTOP Group engaged Period Details to make the concept of this Library ceiling in Brunswick, Victoria a reality.
With all of its angles, this library ceiling was a challenge for our installer, David Peake, but as you can see in the photos below it was worth the effort.
Two patterns and a border were used:
- Large Maple for the main body (center)
- Small Plain border Under/Over
- Lachlan Hearts for the infill (sides)
Timber cornice was also supplied and fitted to finish off the ends.
The substrate for the ceiling was 12mm MDF and David used a combination of Soudal High Tack Fix All Adhesive and Small 2.4mm rivets to fix the panels in place.
After fixing “No More Gaps” was used to point up the overlaps/underlaps leaving the panels ready to paint.
The ceiling was then painted by NEVERSTOP Group’s contractor.
